The cross?

A greatly simplified version of what happened is contained in the following: The Son of God, also referred to as the Messiah or the Christ died on a cross for you. He was crucified. This is one of the most cruel, painful types of death known to man. It is a slow, tortuous form of suffocation.

Why did He go through this for you?

God loves you and all people and he wants us to live with Him eternally in heaven. There is a problem. Since the creation of man and woman, we have been disobeying the will of God for our lives. This practice is known as sin. God being perfect and holy cannot exist in the presence of sin.

How can we get from where we are to where He is?

Well, there is a terrible price for sin. The price demanded for sin is death. God has provided a substitutionary sacrifice on your behalf. That sacrifice is the life of Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life and never sinned, therefore being the only one qualified to be your sacrifice. Because of His death, you have the chance to be saved...to live eternally with God in heaven when you die.

What must I do to be saved?

To take advantage of any gift you are given, you must take possession of it before it actually becomes yours. The first step in this walk is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can do this with a simple prayer asking him for forgiveness of your sin.

Then you must repent..like turning from the direction you were heading and going the other way. If you truly accept Jesus, you will walk differently, talk differently and regard people differently.

If you decide to accept Jesus as your Savior click here to send me an email telling me about the details. It will be important for you to get involved with a bible-believing church.
